Every employer is obliged to provide a safe place of work for his employees. If you have been injured in an accident at work which you believe was not your fault you may be entitled to make a personal injury compensation claim.
Furthermore, employees are expected to take reasonable care to protect the health and safety of themselves and of other people in the workplace. If an employee, whilst acting in the course of his employment, negligently causes an accident which injures another, then the employer may be considered liable for that incident. In such circumstances an employer, or his insurers, may be liable to compensate the employee for his personal injuries.
In addition to a personal injury compensation claim the injured employee may be entitled to claim medical expenses, any loss of earnings together with other out-of-pocket expenses. Most employers have Employers Liability insurance cover to protect themselves against such personal injury claims.
