*Compulsory Purchase Order

*Compulsory Purchase Order

A Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) allows acquiring authorities like local authorities, to take land & property without the consent of the owner and provide compensation for this. The CPO is often used to allow a public infrastructure project to go ahead for the common good.

Our experienced Team is available to offer advice to you throughout the Compulsory Purchase Order Process.

In the event that a Compulsory Purchase Order is confirmed and there is no Appeal to the High Court, the matter of compensation will be dealt with by the parties involved.  It is also critical at this part of the process, to obtain specialist legal advice, to ensure a fair and reasonable outcome can be achieved and that you are fairly and properly compensated for the loss of your land.
