Gynaecological injuries commonly include injuries such as bladder perforation, bowel perforation and fistula development.

These injuries can be considered a recognised complication of procedures such as  a hysterectomy and laparoscopic salpingectomy. However, we have seen several incidences where such injuries could have been avoided had competent medical care been afforded to the patient during or after the procedure.
